IPL 2021: DC got top of the table. RR vs MI prediction: who'll stand out for playoffs.

Chasing a target of 137 runs, DC scored 139 for seven in 19.4 overs with Kagiso Rabada hitting the winning runs. It was Bravo, who bowled the final over, and Rabada hit him for a four on the fourth delivery. It was the South African pacer's first ball of his innings.

Meanwhile, Shikhar Dhawan added more runs to his tally, slamming 39 off 35 balls, packed with three fours and two sixes. Hetmyer's 28-run knock included two fours and a maximum.

Shikhar Dhawan (39) and Shimron Hetmyer (28*) played vital knocks as Delhi Capitals defeated Chennai Super Kings by 3 wickets in a last-over thriller in Dubai.

Rishabh Pant, who had a rare off-day with the bat, stressed that they were always in the game. He said:

"In the powerplay, they came hard and got away. After that, we bowled some good overs. In the end, they got away with some extra runs. With the bat, Prithvi got us to a good start. We were always in the chase as it was a low total, in the end, we got over the line. Prithvi is going to play that well and Shikhar is going to help him playing that way but started well.We got what we needed from him and in the Hetty (Hetmyer) finished it off for us."

"I thought it was a tough pitch and two-paced. Anything close to 150 would’ve been a good score. It’s not like it slowed down drastically. You can’t just play your shots. That’s what the Delhi batters also faced,"

"It was a very good effort [by the bowlers] to make a game out of it. But it was important not to give too many in the first six. There was one expensive over in the first six, but when quality players are batting it can happen," added MS Dhoni.

CSK initially scored 136 for five in 20 overs, with Ambati Rayudu registering a half-century. Both teams have already qualified for the playoffs, along with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

DC have one more league game remaining and will face RCB in Match 56 on Friday. Meanwhile, Chennai face Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Match 53 on Thursday.

Fight for the last berth: RR vs MI

Rohit Sharma's team have had a tough second leg of the IPL 2021 season. With five wins in 12 games, MI are placed seventh and have a worse net run rate than all teams above them in the IPL 2021 points table.

While RR have an identical record, their slightly better net run rate has put them in sixth.

Qualification chances

  1. If Royals beat Mumbai, they will join Knight Riders on 12 points, and the Royals-Knight Riders game on Thursday will then be a shootout to decide fourth place - the winner will qualify and the loser will be out.

  1. If Mumbai beat Royals, then Mumbai's chances of qualification will obviously improve. They will qualify for sure if they beat Sunrisers in their last game, and if Royals beat Knight Riders. However, if Knight Riders beat Royals, Mumbai will almost certainly be knocked out because of their poor net run rate.

  1. If Mumbai beat Royals but lose to Sunrisers, and if Royals beat Knight Riders, then three teams will be tied on 12. Punjab Kings would join them too if they beat Chennai Super Kings. In that case, again, Knight Riders' superior NRR should see them through.
